Lessons of Priority

Updated: Mar 9, 2022

Taking constant distance from a large work of which you personally know every square millimeter after 900+ hours. (I stopped keeping track at some point)

And it's not just about portraying the animal correctly, but also about the idea behind it, the emotion and the message.

To see it as a whole, and take in, the intense look and shine until you feel it touches you.

Is the message of intensity already there?

Almost, not quite... stepping back, looking and then being completely sucked into the work again, finding the right brush, mixing color, and forgetting the world around you for a while'.

Not that long ago, the world was full of creatures we will never see again.

The world may just need some lessons of priority.
