A gift with a connection to the wild

A wildlife print can be a thoughtful gift when it reflects something about the person receiving it. Their favourite animal is one starting point. A landscape, a remembered walk or the mood they enjoy at home can be just as useful.
Choose for them, not only for you.
Think about the recipient’s space. Do they enjoy strong focal pieces or quieter compositions? Do they already collect wildlife art? Look at the colours and formats they live with, then build a small shortlist.
If you are unsure, save a few works and ask a gentle question about their favourite animals or the wall they would like to fill. A little conversation can be more useful than guessing at a large format.
Decide whether the edition is part of the gift.
An Open Edition lets the artwork itself be the focus. A signed and numbered Limited Edition adds a personal connection to the artist. For an existing collector, the edition size and certificate may matter as much as the subject.
Keep the certificate with a signed edition when you give it. It belongs with the artwork and its purchase record.
Allow for framing.
Framing is a personal decision, and a print’s selected product options should determine what is included. Interior photographs may show frames for inspiration. Do not assume that the frame in a photograph comes with the print.
If you want the recipient to choose a frame, confirm the print size so they can speak with a framer afterwards.
Plan for the date.
Dispatch time is not the same as delivery time. The destination, transit and any local import requirements can affect arrival. For a birthday or anniversary, check the current details with the studio before ordering.
