How My Editions Work
Four ways to own a Renso Tamse painting
Every painting in the catalogue is offered in up to four tiers, each with a different level of exclusivity, finish, and price. This page exists so you know exactly what you're getting before you buy.
1. Original Painting
One of one. The actual painting from the studio.
- Hand-painted by Renso Tamse using layered watercolor or oil techniques
- Unique — only one exists in the world
- Hand-signed and dated by the artist
- Signed Certificate of Authenticity
- White-glove packaging, fully insured worldwide shipping
- Optional museum-grade framing service available
The original is the piece every print is derived from — the highest investment tier and the most personal connection to the artist's work.
2. Collector's Edition (limited to 25 worldwide)
The most exclusive print tier — museum quality, hand-signed and numbered.
- Strictly limited to 25 prints worldwide per painting
- Hand-signed and individually numbered by Renso Tamse
- Printed at the largest available size for maximum impact
- Premium 310gsm archival fine art paper
- Pigment inks rated for 100+ years without fading
- Numbered Certificate of Authenticity with edition details
- White-glove packaging, fully insured worldwide shipping
Once the edition of 25 is complete, the painting will never be available in this format again.
3. Limited Edition Print (limited to 295 worldwide)
The classic collector's print. Signed, numbered, and finite.
- Edition strictly limited to 295 prints worldwide per painting
- Hand-signed and individually numbered by Renso Tamse
- Museum-quality 310gsm archival fine art paper
- Pigment inks rated for 100+ years without fading
- Numbered Certificate of Authenticity
- Shipped flat, fully insured, with tracked delivery
Once the 295th print sells, the edition closes permanently.
4. Open Edition Print
The accessible entry point — museum-quality reproduction at an open-edition price.
- Archival giclée print of the original painting
- Printed on museum-quality 310gsm fine art paper
- Pigment inks rated for 100+ years without fading
- True-to-original colour, faithful to the source artwork
- Shipped flat in archival packaging
- No edition limit
Open Edition prints are not numbered and not part of a fixed edition, but use the same archival paper and ink technology as the Limited Editions — ideal as a first step into collecting, or as a gift.
A note on authenticity
Every Limited Edition, Collector's Edition, and Original is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity. The COA records the painting title, edition number (where applicable), year of release, and Renso's signature. Keep it with the artwork — it is your proof of provenance.
